Honey comb design

For my exhibition booth, I have decided to go with the honeycomb theme. A search of honeycomb design came up with a few interesting hits.

One of them is a contemporary home designed by Ofis Architecture.
This structure is located in the Izola district of Slovenia.

Another interesting find is a bookcase by Lava (Laboratory for Visionary Architecture) for the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation in Sydney, Australia. The bookshelf  are lit up by leds inside the shelfs.

A honeycomb inspired restaurant in Shenzhen, China. Designed by SAKO Architects, this restaurant takes a modern interpretation of honeycomb and made it into an architectural wonderment. 

 

Next, a honeycomb skyscraper. This idea was proposed by two Malaysians, Atta Irdrawani Zaini and Ungku Norani Sonet, both  architecture students from Sarawak, Malaysia. The proposed area to build this skyscraper is  in highly populated areas such as in Johor Bharu, Malaysia.

"The building is highly modern, a wall of repeating polygonal pods, but is made interesting visually and in terms of design by the random way in which the units are stuck together. The condos cluster in two wave-like walls that attach to the wide front of a tall, rectangular main lobby and elevator area"
